Publication Specifications

What exactly does a standard Online Publication look like?

An online publication will have everything in a traditional print publication plus the ability to engage your audience. Audience memebers can participate in blogs, discussions and respond back to you instantly via email.

Incorporate video and audio to reach your audience in new ways. Audio can be used by audience members safely while driving. Educate your readers with video and let them see your message in more than just the written word.

Old articles have value - In print as your issues age, older articles are most often forgotten and no longer available to your readers. In an online publication, older articles just drop down the list but are still available for reading by your audience. Over time these older articles help to build a richer and more in-depth experience for your audience.

Mobile friendly capabilities allow your content to be easily available to your audience on the go. And with mobile use of the internet growing faster than any other format of internet use, your content and site can be a better resource for users with handheld devices. Starting April of 2015 Google has also updated their search engines to give higher rankings to websites that have been designed to serve mobile devices. Our SharePoint publications do just this.

Here are the capabilities that we include in our standard publication designs:

  • Posting of Articles that are written and stored within the site's database
  • Posting of Articles from outside new sources
  • Image and Picture library allowing for easy uploading of images to the site
  • Events calendar
  • Business Directory with option of selection category of the business
  • Banner uploading with banners linked to client's websites
  • Blogging and Discussion boards with audience feedback
  • Ability to incorporate video from YouTube or other video hosting sites
